#GlitterReviews : L’oreal Pure Clay Mask!

Hello guys!

So you must have guessed what the blog is going to be about. Also, this is my first review blog (yay!!!).

I have been waiting eagerly to use one of the L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask since it was launched in the Indian market. There are two types of mask – Exfoliate & Refine and Purify & Mattify. I finally bought one for myself and I got this Pure Clay Purify and Mattify Mask since I have an oily skin. So without going around the topic, let’s get to the review..

L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask Purify and Mattify

L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Mask Purify and Mattify with Eucalyptus

Product : L’Oreal Paris Purify and Mattify Pure Clay Mask.

About : The skin gets dull and oily after the pores are clogged with impurities, dirt, makeup and excess oil build up. To protect skin from further degrading, the mask in made out of 3 clays in pure form : Kaolin + Montmorillonite + Moroccan Lava clay with Eucalyptus. Altogether the mask helps in removing impurities, dirt and oil build up, unclogs pores, reduce shine, allowing the skin to breathe.

Cost : Rs. 850.

Claims : The mask unclogs pores by removing impurities and reduces excess oil from the face, thus making you look refreshed.

Packaging : The mask is packed overall in a small box. Inside it has the small cubic glass jar which has the mask. The plastic lid, similar to the entire packaging, is a light sea foam-ish green that has pearl shine to it. There is also an extra spill-proof lid inside. The jar is small but is quite heavy to hold.

Appearance and Texture: It is light sea foam in colour. The mask being made of clay has a thick consistency, rather very thick. Despite of it, it glides over the skin very nicely. It is actually very smooth and not grainy.

Odour: It has a very refreshing scent, but subtle. Though the scent hints more that of Eucalyptus.

Usage: Apply an even layer on face avoiding eye and lip area. Leave for 10 to 15 minutes amd wash with water. For best results, use 3 times a week.

My Take:

I am seriously impressed. I am usually afraid of trying new skincare products because they are either of no use or have reverse effect on my skin. This however is a very good product. It gets dry very quickly. Unlike other masks, this one doesn’t pull your skin in 100 different directions after it dries off. Washing off is a tad bit difficult. After washing off, the skin doesn’t feel completely dry i.e. the excess oil is removed but skin still feels replenished. Most importantly, definitely lives up to its claims.

  • Has a sweet, subtle smell.
  • Smooth texture and easy to apply.
  • Spill-proof packaging.
  • Effective since first use.
  • Skin actually feels unclogged and refreshed.
  • Reduces excess face oil to give a matte look.
  • Doesn’t make skin dry.

  • Does not have an applicator along with.
  • The mask is expensive, you see it is ₹ 850 for 48g.

That would be all I have to say about the mask. This is surely a good product but if you are looking for more herbal products, then it isn’t for you. As much as the product uses pure forms of natural clays it also has some chemicals. If you have an oily skin, I would definitely recommend to try it. I have used this twice now and I can already experience the amazing results.

Until next time…
